DESCRIPTION
The shellac sphere was used with the Cavendish hemispheres Cavendish hemispheres to demonstrate that charge on a conducting surface is totally on the outside. While the Cavendish sphere Cavendish sphere was charged using an electrostatic generator, the shellac sphere was charged by rubbing with a wool cloth of a piece of fur.
