DESCRIPTION

Exhibit 922 is a Venturi tube flowmeter used to measure the flow of a liquid through the glass tube by observing the difference of pressure at two points where the cross-sectional areas, S1 and S2, are different. The pressure difference can be determined by reading the two pressures from the scale behind the two vertical tubes attached at the two positions of S1 and S2. The fundamental formula for the pressure difference is derived from Bernoulli's law.
Equazione: [P_1 +\frac{v_1^2}{2} = P_2 +\frac{v_2^2}{2}]

From this equation and remembering that the flow Q is constant (Formula: [Q=S_1v_1=S_2v_2]), one obtains the velocity of the water in the point A, that is, the velocity of the water in the conduit. Multiplying by the section one has the flow.
Equazione: [Q=S_1S_2\sqrt{\frac{2(P_1-P_2)}{(S_1^2-S_2^2)}}]
