DESCRIPTION
Exhibit 717 is an aperiodic thermal voltmeter in which the Joule heating of the wire carrying the current is used to provide readout values; in this case the lengthening of the wire provides directly the readout value on the non-liner scales, the upper one from 0 to 50 V or the lower one from 0 to 5V. The original advantage of thermal instruments was that they could be used for both direct and alternating current. The meaning of the aperiodic characteristic is explained in exhibit 637. On the side of this instrument there is a calibration control and also a zero correction. The case has grids on the sides for releasing heat.ISCRIZIONI
