DESCRIPTION
Exhibit 521 is an evacuated glass cathode ray tube which furnishes a focused beam of electrons made visible by striking the phosphor deposit on the face of the tube. The electrons emitted from the cathode are first focused by a negative cylinder, then accelerated by the anodes which are perforated to further define the beam. Then the formed and accelerated beam can be deflected vertically and horizontally by applying voltages to the deflection plates.BIBLIOGRAPHY
