DESCRIPTION
Exhibit 498 is a linear thermoelectric battery composed of 154 thermocouples, mounted inside a circular metallic container, each of length 5 mm, composed of two different materials (not known), and arranged in a parallelepiped with the junctions of one type on one face and the others on the opposite face. The face on which falls the radiation is blackened to obtain a sensor of high sensitivity. The extremes of the succession of soldering joints are connected to the external terminals.
