DESCRIPTION

Exhibit 477 is a double switch with the common contacts attached to springs which hold steady the contact choice changeable by inverting the brass handle on the outside of the wood case where the contacts are made inside through copper strips contacted through the brass fingers on the rotating cylinder. To separate the two switches the internal cylinder has two sections divided by an insulating ring that seems to be ivory. The handle has an intermediate position in which no contact is made. The cover of the case slides in a guide, so easily opened for inspection.
