DESCRIPTION
Exhibit 341 is a microscope conserved in its mahogany wood container together with its accessories and registered in the inventory as: "A complete microscope with accessories, Nicol prism and mahogany container (gift of the Princess Maria della Cisterna for the study of physics in the department of Prof Faa di Bruno in 1865)". This model is described in the 1953 catalog of the maker, Lerebours and Secretan in Paris as: "an acromatic microscope with which one obtains 18 different magnifications (from 50x to 480x) and without additional accessories can see both opaque and transparent objects"ISCRIZIONI
