DESCRIPTION
Exhibit 771 is a sounding board conceived by Felix Savart (1791-1841) composed of a metallic cup and an empty cylinder closed at one end. The base of the cup contains a circular ring of lead for stability. When the edge of the cup is rubbed with a bow to make it vibrate, the resulting sound can be amplified by moving closer the cylinder.ISCRIZIONI
