DESCRIPTION
Exhibit 728 is a resistance box with 24 insertible resistances according to the keys removed from the corresponding resistance positions. The total resistance is claimed to be 111,111 Ohms.
The resistance wire is claimed to be manganin, an alloy consisting of 86 % copper, 12 % manganese and 2% nickel developed by Edward Weston in 1892 and used to construct precise resistances because its characteristics depend very little (if compared with copper) on the temperature.
