DESCRIPTION
Exhibit 551 is an instrument registered in inventory as "210 ampere shunt for the C.G.S. precise thermal ammeter, inventory number 3820, that no longer exists". See exhibit 717 for such an ammeter.
The shunt consists of two rectangular metal plates, screwed together between which one finds four undulated metal strips. There are two long isolated cables for the external connection.
