DESCRIPTION
Exhibit 535 is a differential galvanometer, constructed by Charles Jest in Turin, very similar to exhibit 534: the dimensions are slightly smaller, the wire supports are two instead of one and are united above to form an arc and the coil is rotated by a lever instead of by a handle. Also the number of terminals is eight (instead of four) so the number of independent windings is four.
The dial glued above the windings is identical to that of the Gourion galvanometer except for the addition of the name of the constructor. Probably Charles Jest copied the galvamometer built by his colleague, improving only some details.
