DESCRIPTION

Exhibit 529 is a glass X-ray tube with a standard E27 base, a lateral observation arm and an aperture for evacuation. Inside the tube there is a convex source of cathode rays (electrons) heated by the current in the E27 base. The high voltage is applied through a terminal at about half the length of the tube which accelerates and collimates the electrons directed onto the target located so that some of the x-rays travel directly down the observation tube to be revealed at its end.
