DESCRIPTION
Exhibit 522 is a tube for the generation of X-rays similar to the Roentgen tube but with the addition of the control of the internal pressure. The principal elements of this device are; The filament (cathode) The target (anode), normally a tungsten plate An auxiliary target in a small cruet connected to the anode A small tube connected to the large bulb used to regulate the internal pressure. In practice the incandescent cathode emits a beam of electrons which are accelerated onto the anode, generating the X-rays which emerge from the back of the anode.ISCRIZIONI
