DESCRIPTION
Exhibit 39 is an electrostatic discharger, used to discharge charged bodies safely and conveniently. It consisted of two brass arcs hinged together, each with an insulated handle. In use the two arcs were made to touch the body to be discharged while the discharger was connected to ground. The discharger could be used also to charge bodies by taking charge from a Leyden jar or an electrostatic generator.Dati Catalografici
