DESCRIPTION
Exhibit 335 is the largest thermoelectric battery in the physics museum due not to the number of thermocouples but to their size. It has a diameter of 5 cm and had 40 or 41 thermocouples originally of which at least two are broken. The radiation access to the thermoelectric battery is through a 10 cm brass cylinder with a lid having an ivory knob. The support is very flexible and has a large wood base. See exhibit 35 for the theory of operation.
