DESCRIPTION
Exhibit 315 is an azimuthal circle which is an accessory of the Troughton and Simmons theodolite, exhibit 491. It consists of a blackened brass circle graduated along the entire circumference in units of 10 minutes. A telescope is attached to the circle. A fork attached to a bubble level serves as support on the theodolite. There is a retticule visible in the eyepiece which has 5 thin vertical uniformally separated lines? All is contained in a wood box containing: A heavy lever for orienting horizontally the apparatus. Three eyepieces of different dimensions A small brass rod A wrench for tightening hooks and screws A lamp with a lens A fork attached to a bubble levelISCRIZIONI
