DESCRIPTION
The rocking bar galvanometer consists of a permanent bar magnet attached to a pointer and immersed in a magnetic field created by a coil in which circulates the current one wants to measure. The rotation of the bar is balanced by a coil spring which has rotational torque proportional to the angular displacement so that the equilibrium position of the pointer is proportional to the current. This instrument is not very precise and is usually employed in didactic demonstrations. In fact the scale is visible from faraway. To change the sensitivity of this galvanometer, one changes the coils of which two are available.ISCRIZIONI
