DESCRIPTION
Exhibit 166 is a mavometer, a type of primitive multimeter used for measuring current in milliampere, voltage in millivolts and resistance in Ohm. The name derives from milliampere + volt + Ohm meter. It has a circular glass window of diameter 75 mm for reading the dial which has full scale values of 75 and 50. Its use foresees the addition of a shunt for measuring current and a resistance for measuring volts and Ohms to be inserted on the bottom terminals while the top terminals serve for current and volts/Ohm. The back side carries the schemes for measuring currents, voltages and resistances and the relative values of shunts and resistances is supplied on separate cards.ISCRIZIONI
- A sinistra nella finestra si legge la scritta D.R.P (Deutsche Reichs Patent) mentre a destra si legge "Original Gossen".
- Sotto la finestra è scritto: "MAVOMETER" e più sotto 1 mA 100 mV.
