DESCRIPTION
Exhibit 1011 is a simple apparatus for demonstrating states of equilibrium for rotation about an axis. It consists of a wood bar with 13 hooks (numbered 1 to 13 on both halves and spaced 2 cm from each other) mounted on a metal disk that can rotate about a horizontal axis supported on a column with a round wood base.
By hanging equal weights on the hooks on both sides such that the sum of weights time distance is equal on both sides, one can demonstrate equilbrium for rotation about an axis.
